JULIANSTOWN TIDY TOWNS

Our Tidy Towns Volunteers are out and about weeding and planting, but there is only so much they can do. We also had help some Wednesday evenings from a group of Albanians who are residing in Mosney Accommodation Centre and they did a fabulous job cleaning the paths up through the village. Would you be able to spruce up outside your residence and perhaps if you know of some elderly person whose lawn needs mowing, or some weeding done, wouldn’t it be lovely to give them a helping hand?

Our village looks lovely and thank you to everyone who is helping with its upkeep. If there are weeds growing on the verges or roadside near you, please remove them! You may have noticed we created two new beds this year; one at the top of the Laytown Road and the other at the new Julianstown Village Garden sign and both are doing well. We had the picnic table installed at the woods and it’s lovely to see people stopping and using it. Our planters were planted up by McLysaght Nurseries on the Mosney Road and they have now been placed throughout the village and are looking rather well (Many thanks Robert!). The Old Mill looks a lot better than it did this time last year! If you would like to help out with the Tidy Towns please contact Niamh on 086 3477283.
