-

Gabriel Taquet ( pictured) was the winner of the recent Ready Steady cook competition, organised by Boomerang Youth Service.

Gabriel is a Culinary Arts Student in D.I.F.E. and beat off some very strong competitors - Niamh Martin , Culinary Arts D.I.F.E., Graham, FiftyFour Seafood Restaurant , Laurence Street and Joe , Bru Bar & Restaurant.

All four chefs had great fun on the night cooking their favorite dishes against the clock. Members of the audience were only too delighted to be invited to taste the delicious food before voting for their favorite. Entertainment was provided by Eugene Ginty the renowned “Singing Chef”, who serenaded members of the audience and created a lovely ambiance with his fabulous voice and choice of music.

Boomerang’s P.R. & Marketing Team would sincerely like to thank Thomas and his staff in the Westcourt Hotel for their invaluable help in making this annual event such a success. Thank you to all the chefs for taking part, Eugene for his beautiful singing, Paul, the M.C. who did an excellent job and most of all to the people of Drogheda for their attendance and support. The Boomerang staff and locals shops and businesses were also fantastic.

Boomerang staff are all geared up for a summer of fun as they eagerly await your arrival to their exciting summer camps.
