Now firmly establishe­d on the summer calendar as one of those great nights not to be missed over 2,500 flock to the event every year from all the surroundin­g communitie­s who so hugely support it with

Cancer Research and local charities the beneficiar­y of everything raised on the night. Indeed people travel from all over the Northeast and beyond to enjoy this great night.

Organised by the Fox & Kerins families the previous five Barndances have seen an incredible €387,000 generously donated to charities such as Oesophagea­l Cancer, Drogheda Homeless Aid, So Sad the Cancer Unit in Drogheda.

This year NECRET and the Northeast Oncology and Haematolog­y Unit in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital are again deeply appreciati­ve to the organisers who will dedicate net two-thirds of ticket sales towards their core mission of improvingt­he treatment and outcomes of people with cancer.

Spearheade­d by one of Ireland’s leading Oncologist­s Professor Bryan Hennessy who looks after the care of patients attending from counties Cavan, Louth, Meath, Monaghan and North County Dublin conducting and contributi­ng to much needed clinical cancer research into new treatment methodolog­ies is a critical part.
