Now firmly established on the summer calendar as one of those great nights not to be missed over 2,500 flock to the event every year from all the surrounding communities who so hugely support it with
Cancer Research and local charities the beneficiary of everything raised on the night. Indeed people travel from all over the Northeast and beyond to enjoy this great night.
Organised by the Fox & Kerins families the previous five Barndances have seen an incredible €387,000 generously donated to charities such as Oesophageal Cancer, Drogheda Homeless Aid, So Sad the Cancer Unit in Drogheda.
This year NECRET and the Northeast Oncology and Haematology Unit in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital are again deeply appreciative to the organisers who will dedicate net two-thirds of ticket sales towards their core mission of improvingthe treatment and outcomes of people with cancer.
Spearheaded by one of Ireland’s leading Oncologists Professor Bryan Hennessy who looks after the care of patients attending from counties Cavan, Louth, Meath, Monaghan and North County Dublin conducting and contributing to much needed clinical cancer research into new treatment methodologies is a critical part.
