Niamh Kavanagh and the Illegals in Hotel California tribute show
The Illegals are taking their unique Rumours of Hotel California show on the road for another turn in 2018 to celebrate two classic rock albums from two iconic rock bands.
Led by Niamh Kavanagh, she of the mesmerizing voice and mischievous spirit, The Illegals will take you on a journey for three hours of soulful harmonies, exciting riffs, blistering guitars and unforgettable songs. Songs like “Gold Dust Woman”, “Last Resort”, “Go Your Own Way”, “Life In The Fast Lane”, “Dreams”, “New Kid In Town”, “The Chain” and “Hotel California” – and many more.
They play the Droichead Arts Centre on Friday 29th June at 8pm.
Ceili band in the TLT
The world renowned Kilfenora Céilí Band, regarded by afficianadoes as the quin- tessential Irish céilí band, will be joined by acclaimed singer Edel Vaughan from Co. Clare and dancers Laura Minogue, (Co. Clare), Deirdra Kiely (Co. Waterford), and world champions Michael and Matthew Gardiner (Co Galway) to perform an uplifting, energetic and entertaining show on Thursday August 16th 2018 at the TLT.
This traditional legendary group take their rich musical heritage into the future with a show that is expertly choreographed by boasting highly rhythmic traditional tunes, together with beautifully sung airs and witty repartee.
The Kilfenora Céilí Band is made up of leader John Lynch (banjo, mandolin), Claire Griffin (accordion), Tim Collins (concertina), Gary Shannon (flute, whistle), Anthony Quigney (flute, whistle, piano), AnneMarie McCormack (fiddle), Sinéad Heagney (fiddle/ viola), Anne Rynne (fiddle), Eimear Howley (fiddle & banjo), Fintan McMahon (piano), Sean Griffin (drums) and Brian O’Grady (double bass) and Sharon Howley (cello).

Top gig in Droichead
THERE are quite a few top gigs listed for this summer around Drogheda, including a classic one at the Droichead Arts Centre on Saturday July 14.
