Tie for third

THE County Louth GC pairing of professional Enda Maguire and amateur Ian McDonnell carded a six-under par round at the Lombard Trophy PGA Regional Final at Carton House to finish in a tie for third place.

However, they missed out by an agonising one shot on qualifying for the upcoming £41,450 Coca-Cola and Pestana Resorts-supported National Pro-Am grand final in Portugal as victory went to the Masserene pair of David Hughes and Vincent McCaffrey.
