Winners of last weekend’s ladies prize to gents 16th/17th June 1st was Paul McAuley with 41 points, 2nd was Des Johnston with 40 points and 3rd Seamus McMahon 38 points. The Midweek winner was Tommy Everitt with 20 points

Please ensure to register now for the World Meeting of Families events to avoid disappointment. Single day tickets for Friday’s Pastoral Congress programme are now booked out. At the moment the tickets for the Festival of Families in Croke Park and the Closing Mass in Phoenix Park are not directly available on general release. When these tickets become available they will be free. Further details will be released in the coming weeks. Tickets for the Festival of Families and the Final Mass can be booked right now as part of the Congress. FEAST DAY OF ST OLIVER PLUNKETT

The annual festival day of St. Oliver Plunkett- Sunday 1st of July Procession from Holy Family Church, Ballsgrove at 3p.m. to St. Peter’s Church West Street for Mass at 4p.m.

ST OLIVER’S PILGRIM WALK

St. Oliver’s Pilgrim Walk, organized by the Knights of St. Columbanus, will takeplace on Friday 29th and Saturday 30th June. The walk around 7 churches in Drogheda, will begin at Our Lady of Lourdes Church on either day from 10.30am– 4.30pm. The walk can be completed on either day or over the two days. It is aspiritual reflective walk, done at one’s own pace. A souvenir passport will begiven at the start and a certificate presented on completion. See wwwstoliverswalk.com or Facebook stoliverswalk

Our parish choir are on their summer vacation. We express our grateful appreciation for their solemn and prayerful music throughout the liturgical year. The choir places a lot of hard work and effort into their choral repertoire and their ministry of music greatly enhances our liturgies. All choir members are to be highly commended for their commitment to our parish faith community. The break is well deserved but they will sing at our Mass of Thanksgiving. We look forward to their full return on Sunday 9th of September at 11a.m. Mass.

Our annual Mass of thanksgiving for those in prayer ministry, ministers of Holy Communion, the Word, music and song, caring for the sanctuary, distribution of envelopes or collection of finances, running bingo, sacristan, altar serving, tending the cemetery, managing rotas, bulletin; grass cutting, bereavement. It will be celebrated on Friday 6th of July at 7.30p.m. This will be followed by refreshments in the Parish Hall.

THE WHOLE SHABANG SUMMER CAMP

Great news for the kids in the locality. The Whole Shabang Summer Camp is back this year. The camp is aimed at kids from 4 to 12 years old and involves Sports, Dancing, Art, Craft, Baking and lots more. There are 2 dates in the diary for Tullyallen this year, the 2nd to 6th July and 23rd to 27th July. The camp starts at 9.30am and finishes at 2.30pm. Children need to bring a packed lunch and wear comfy clothes and runners. Call Mark Hoey on 085 7280376 to secure your place. Registration and payment will take place at 9.30am on the first Monday of each camp and costs €60 per child with family discount of €50 for the 2nd child and €45 for the 3rd child of the same family.

CÚL CAMP ONLINE BOOKING

The Glen Emmets Kellogg’s Cúl Camp will take place this year from 16th to 20th July and online booking commenced 1st March. Get in early and make your booking to avoid disappointment as this camp always proves to be a great one.

GREENHILLS SUMMER CAMP

Greenhills Summer Sports Camp will take place this year for two weeks: July 9th – 13th & July 16th – 20th. MEN’S SHED

The Tullyallen Men’s Shed meet on Tuesday & Friday mornings at 10am in the Glen Emmets Clubhouse. The Men’s Shed is a dedicated, friendly and welcoming meeting place where men come together and undertake a variety of mutually agreed activities. All new members are more than welcome to come along for a chat and cup of tea. So why not go along and see what it’s all about.

LOTTO RESULTS

Results for the Glen Emmets Lotto held Tuesday 19th June 2018. The Grand Prize Draw was for €1,200 and there was no winner. The numbers drawn were: 1,4,18,27. The 4 Lucky Dip winners who receive €25 each are Hilda Lane, Ann Carolan, Karl Johnson & Liam Usher. Next week’s draw is €1,300. TEENAGE KICKS

The Glen Emmets are running a Teenage Kicks Summer camp from 24th to 28th July, 10am to 2pm each day. It’s a great way to improve your skills with experienced coaches and there is limited availability for this camp. It is aimed at kids aged 13 to 16 years and costs only €40. SPORTS DAY THANKS

The final tally has come in at €10,732 for the recent sports day. This is a fantastic result for the organizers and they want to say a huge thanks to all the sponsors, helpers, everyone who contributed and of course to everyone who went out on the day to support this very worthy fundraiser for the Tullyallen National School. Well done to all involved.
