CAR BOOT SALE

The Committee of the Drogheda Presbyterian Church are holding a Car Boot Sale on Saturday the 7th July, in aid of the New Shannon Class Lifeboat at Clogherhead, from 10 am - 3 pm. Selling Cars please set up from 9 am - 10 am.

SONAIRTE RE-OPENS

Having been closed for almost six months due to an insurance problem, Sonairte, the interactive visitor centre in Laytown which promotes ecological awareness and sustainable living, opened its doors to the public again last week. You can now buy their fresh vegetable boxes; Boxes contain a mix of the organic, seasonal produce currently available from Sonairte’s garden. Just choose how much you want (€10, 15, 20, 30 etc.), contact us and your box will be waiting for you.

EAST MEATH BRIDGE CLUB

Summer Charity bridge has commenced in Laytown & Bettystown golf club every Tuesday evening a 7.30p.m. Everyone welcome.

BEACH CRICKET EVENT

Beach Cricket is fun filled entertainment, competitive cricket played on beach with varied rules from professional cricket. It is a unique, quickest and funniest version of cricket played on beach with team of six players using tennis ball. This year Beach Sports Festival is on Saturday 7th July from 11 am to 6pm at Bettystown-Laytown Beaches.

SILVER MEDALLIST

Rachel Eagleton from Bettystown has won silver for Ireland in the tennis singles at the European Transplant and Dialysis Sports Championships (ETDSC18) in Cagliari, Sardinia last week. Rachel, who at age 31 is the youngest member of Transplant Team Ireland, stormed her way to the finals of the tennis singles which took place at the Su Planu Tennis Club in Cagliari, congrats and well done.

LOURDES PILGRIMAGE
