NOW is your chance to nominate a great volunteer or volunteer service in your community.

The Secretariat of the Louth Public Participation Network hosts awards each year in Castlebellingham and the public are invited to have their say.

The awards brings together individuals and organisations to celebrate their amazing contributions made over the last year and acknowledge this through an evening of celebration.

The Awards are open to nominations in the following categories Arts & Culture; Environment/Animals; Children & Youth; Older Persons and Disability; Ethnic Minorities; Sports; Voluntary Team of the Year; and Outstanding Individual Achievement.

With over 270 community groups now registered with Louth PPN please make sure that individuals and groups in your community receive the acknowledgement that they deserve. Please submit your nomination now via the nomination form in your local paper or contact Mary Capplis, Louth PPN Resource Worker on mary.capplis@louthcoco.ie for a nomination form.

Louth PPN is the framework for citizen engagement and participation and is the main link for the community and voluntary sector to connect with the Local Authority. It provides an opportunity for community groups to avail of training, to network, to share information and learn from other groups in your area.

Your PPN Representatives are the voice of the community at local decision making level. Further information on Louth PPN is available on www.louthppn.ie.

The awards will take place later this year at a glittering ceremony in the sublime Bellingham Castle Hotel.

Winners come from across the county from a nominated list.
