The Carnegie Catering Programme, CCP is a unique QQI Level 4 programme to the local area.

The aim of the training programme is to give motivated and enthusiastic learners aged 16yrs-25yrs who have the passion for food and cooking, the skills to either progress to full time employment in the Catering and Hospitality industry or to progress onto further education.

This training is delivered under the ESLO Programme in partnership with the Louth and Meath Education and Training Board, Scholars Townhouse Hotel, Relish Cafes & Restaurants, and Westcourt Hotel. The Programme will allow learners to develop their catering skills in a holistic and supportive environment. The programme was developed in response to the current skills shortages in the catering industry.

At the launch of the new programme, Lorraine, the Co-ordinator of the ESLO Programme said “This programme has been in the pipeline for quite some time, it comes now in response to the many enquires we had from our learners over the last number of years. The programme offers a fantastic opportunity for learners to take their first step on the career ladder in the area of catering.

‘We are also delighted to welcome on board our three programme partners Scholars Townhouse Hotel, Relish Cafes & Restaurants, and Westcourt Hotel who between them bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the programme, offering our learner some real time experience, knowledge, support and guidance”.
