Time to get the 800th commemorative stone back in full view

MAY I take this opportunity to congratulate Colr. Frank Godfrey on yet again attaining our highest office of Mayor in our Town (hopefully soon to be City)

Wouldn’t this be a great time, especially with the impending Fleadh, to salvage from abandonment, the beautiful granite 800 year commemorative stone that has long since been forgotten in our Council yard in the Green lanes.

Frank as our former Mayor officiated at the unveiling of this beautiful feature back in 1994 and I think all would agree that it is only right to return it to a place of honour in our town centre for all locals and visitors alike to appreciate and enjoy.
