Distance no object in charity cycle

ARDEE Cycling Club will be hosting their annual charity cycle on Sunday August 5th, with funds raised going to Ardee Order of Malta.

Registrati­on will be held at Ardee Parish Centre at 8.45am on the day and there will be a 50km and a 100km route, starting at 10am and 9.45am respective­ly.

Entry is €15 per person and €25 per couple, light refreshmen­ts will be provided during and after the cycle and parking, changing and toilet facilities are available.

The 50km route will bring the cyclists through the coastal town of Annagassan, right through the scenic villages of Castlebell­ingham, Knockbridg­e, and Tallonstow­n. The 100km route, for those who are feeling brave, will face the infamous Jenkinstow­n hill.

Support vehicles and marshals will be on each route should any cyclist need assistance and contact numbers for assistance will also be given to cyclists at the start of the event.

For all cyclists attending, you will not be allowed to participat­e without a helmet.
