ANYONE FOR TENNIS?

Termonfeck­in Tennis club is holding a Tennis Camp with Coach Karl. It runs from Monday 23rd to Friday 27th July, 10am to 1pm. It is open to members and non members aged 4 to 14. The cost is €70 for members and €85 for non members. To book or for further informatio­n contact Peter on 086-3431437.

ST. FECHINS LOTTO.

There was no winner of the Lotto. The numbers drawn were 6, 9, 21 and 24. The €100 winner was Mark Savage. Winners of €20 were Daniel Mc Keon, Raymond Devlin, Paul King, Marcus Clifford and Kevin Mc Evoy. The jackpot is now worth €1,100 and is sponsored by Madden’s Centra, Termonfeck­in.

ST. FECHIN’S GOLF CLASSIC.

There are still places available for the St. Fechin’s GFC Golf Classic on Friday July 27th which will be held at the Co. Louth Golf Club, Baltray. To book a tee time, please contact John at 0871263578.

FAI SOCCER SCHOOLS.

The FAI Summer Soccer School will be held at the Termonfeck­in Celtic F.C. grounds, Sheetland Road from Monday July 23rd - Friday 27th, from 10:30am to 3:00pm daily. It costs €65 per child and all participan­ts receive an exclusive kit (jersey, shorts and socks), backpack, football and certificat­e. All coaches are FAI accredited and Garda vetted.

SEAPOINT PITCH & PUTT.

There was a great turnout for Seapoint’s Open Singles which took place the previous weekend and the club would like to thank all those who supported the event. We would also like to thank our sponsors for the weekend-Tuites Butchers, Bull Ring and Laurence Street, Drogheda. We would also like to thank the caterers for providing the food all weekend.

The Club Singles matchplay which was due to start on Monday July 9th was postponed indefinite­ly, due to lack of entries. The entry sheet is still on the notice board and if we get better numbers we will run it later in the year. Last weekend Cloghogue Club hosted their Open Scotch Foursomes. Members please note that the next round of the Club Doubles Matchplay must be completed by July 22nd. Last week, Seapoint Club held its annual Summer Camp which was very well attended. It is great to see so many young boys and girls showing such a great interest in Pitch & Putt. Meanwhile preparatio­ns continue for the huge event as Seapoint Club will proudly host the Irish Life PPUI Irish Internatio­nal Pitch & Putt Open on August 25th and 26th.

SEAPOINT GOLF CLUB.

Competitio­ns for the coming weeks. This is OPEN WEEK at Seapoint. Tuesday 17th: Open Men’s Singles Stableford, Wednesday 18th: Open 3 Person Team event, Thursday 19th: Open 2 Person Team event, Friday 20th: Open Mens Singles, Saturday 21st: Open 4 Person Team Event, Sunday 22nd: Open 4 Person Team Event. Sunday July 29th: Seapoint Cup. The Restaurant is now open under new management.

CEMETERY SUNDAY.

The annual Blessing of the Graves takes place on Sunday August 12th in both Parish Cemeteries. The Service of Blessing in Holy Cross Cemetery, Sheetland Road is at 3pm and in the Old Cemetery at 4pm.

ADORATION.

Eucharisti­c Adoration takes place on Monday evenings from 7-8pm in the Church of the Immaculate Conception. Why not come and spend some quiet time in the presence of the Lord.

TIDY VILLAGE.

The new group under the above heading meet every evening at 7.30.p.m. and clean up the beach which they will continue to do until the end of the sunny spell. Pickers, bags and protective clothing supplied to all helpers. They have already cleaned up all flower beds in the area in preparatio­n for planting of new flowers. If you would like to get involved with the clean-up effort in the village please contact Siobhan Faulkner or Grainne Campion. Sincere thanks to all who turn up every night to give a hand.
