Another Irish title for Karlis

DUNLEER AC’s Karlis Kaugars (pictured) added another gold medal to his National Track & Field Championship haul on Sunday, this time in the discus after an impressive best throw of 42.15m.

His sister Liene finished the U-17 javelin in fifth place, having qualified from Leinster and overall it was a great day for the two throwers and for their dad Santis who coaches them both as well as all the Dunleer AC juvenile throwers from the age of seven.
