Patrick Irwin, Duleek

MR. Patrick Joseph Irwin, Newtown House, Duleek, whose regretted death occurred at his residence last Thursday, was a native of Kilconnell, Co. Galway.

Aged 79, he taught in Duleek National School for 36 years, retiring in 1958. In retirement, he was chiefly occupied with farming, which he commenced in 1945. Mr. Irwin was held in the highest esteem and respect by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Deceased is survived by his widow, Mrs. Ita Irwin; Messrs. Colum Irwin, B.D.S., Bedford Place, Navan, and Desmond Irwin, Duleek (sons); Mrs. Ita Costelloe, Co. Tipperary (daughter); Mrs. T. J. Mekitarian, Trim, and Mrs. Sean Molloy, Dublin (sisters), to whom, as to the other relatives, we extend sincere sympathy in their loss.

The funeral took place on Sunday from St. Cianan’s Church, Duleek, to Holy Cross Cemetery,
