SHED MEN SHOW OFF THEIR SKILLS

- BY HUBERT MURPHY

DROGHEDA’S Men’s Shed, based on the Donore Road, got the chance to show off their remarkable skills on Sunday as the group hosted an Open Day.

The location has become a hotbed of activity, especially in advance of the Fleadh Cheoil.

The men have produced a staggering amount of musicial instruments to promote the Fleadh - including a giant bodhran that has been photographed - once or twice!

Members of the local Comhaltas group headed along to the open day to play some tunes and to say thanks to the men’s group for all their support.

The service has been ongoing in Drogheda for some years and they are always anxious to pick up new members.
