€1 Boylesports lotto bet lands local customer €33,001 return!
A punter in County Louth made it a weekend to remember when they placed a €1 bet on Friday which yielded a jaw-dropping profit thanks to four Lotto numbers falling their way.
The customer, who wishes to remain anonymous, placed their small bet in a BoyleSports shop in the Wee County and picked numbers 11, 17, 23 and 41 to come out in the EuroMillions draw.
BoyleSports were offering odds of 33,000/1 against the four numbers landing but when they all rolled out it triggered a gigantic payout to the lucky punter.
They were able to return to the shop on Saturday and exchange their betting slip for a stunning total of €33,001.
