Get along and sample Oyster Festival
ONE of the most popular events in the county each year is the Carlingford Oyster Festival and it runs from Thursday 9th August - Monday 13th August.
One of Ireland’s oldest festivals, The Festival offers four days packed with fun for all the family. Savour the taste of fresh Carlingford Oysters harvested from the scenic lough. The Festival Street Market is filled with Artisan Craft & Food Stalls; Local Restaurants offering delicious fishy dishes, chowders and local cuisine along the winding streets of medieval Carlingford Village. The weekend is packed with traditional children’s activities including Magic Show, Face Painting, the ever popular Teddy Bear’s Picnic, Free Kayaking in the Harbour, Children’s Funfair & Bouncing Castles and much, much more!
