Council move to Narrow West Street

-

LOUTH County Council intend to move their Drogheda offices to the former O’Reilly Bros premises at 68-69 Narrow West Street while their Fair Street offices are redeveloped.

The local authority have applied for Part 8 permission to change of use of the ground floor unit – last occupied by St Vincent de Paul’s Living charity shop – from retail to office, with a public counter area. Part of the upper floor retail unit will also be used.

The decision to move into the old O’Reilly’s unit will likely have a major impact on parking in the area, with 40 public pay parking spaces currently available at the rear of the building set to be taken up by council staff during their time in their temporary offices.
