Garda team win five goal charity clash

THE Gardai might have won the game, but everyone was a winner at United Park last week at the 2018 Gardai v Boyne/ Cable Project match.

The annual fixture sees the garda team take on the combined outfit and it always proves a tight and sporting affair. This time was no different and the Gardai won a classic, 3-2.. The organisers held a major fundraiser on the day for the Hannah Donnelly fund and were delighted with the reaction.

They helped raise vital funds for Hannah’s cause via a raffle and a bucket collection.

‘We want to say a massive thank you to everyone who came out and support the match. It was a fantastic match. Well done to all the organisers, volunteers, officials and players who made the day such a success,’ they stated.

‘ The biggest thanks of all goes to Hannah’s family members who came out to support the match, we hope you enjoyed it.’
