HERITAGE WEEK
Heritage week takes place on Saturday 18th to– Sunday 26th August. Duleek Heritage invite you to the following; Saturday 18th August – walk on the Commons starting at 11am., Refreshments afterwards in Carranstown Lodge. Wednesday 22nd August – showing of ‘River Nanny, from Source to Sea’ at 8pm in The Prayer Rooms. Refreshments afterwards, come and share your memories of the “Nanny”! Sunday 26th August – Historic walking tour of the village, starting at 12.15pm from The Courthouse.

Duleek Library summery programme is continuing in August with the following events:
Children’s Summer Reading Scheme – Summer Stars; for children aged 6 to 12, join the summer reading challenge at your local library and receive a free reader card, a sticker and a bookmark. Read 8 books and get entered in to a draw for a Kindle Fire Tablet. Paddington Workshop takes place Wednesday 15th of August at 11am for ages 3 to 6 years. An adult must attend with a child. Lego workshop takes place Thursday 16th of August at 3pm from ages 7+. Summer Arts & Crafts takes place Monday 20th at 11am for 3-6 years. An adult must attend with a child. Dogs Trust how to be a good dog owner; takes place Monday 27th of August at 11am for ages 7+. Please contact the library to put your childs name down to attend any of the above workshops
FAMILY FUN DAY
Duleek Bellewstown Family Fun day and Moo Poo 2018 takes place on Saturday 1st of September from noon at the GAA grounds, Duleek. The day will include a number of sporting activities for all the family, Legends League finals, plenty of entertainment and BBQ. All proceeds in aid of underage player development at Duleek Bellewstown GFC. FREE admission. Everyone welcome.
IRISH GUIDE DOGS FOR THE BLIND
Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind would like to thank you for the great cooperation and generous financial support that was given at their recent Church gate collection. The amounts collected were at Bellewstown €210.82 and Duleek €588.63. All monies collected go straight to headquarters of guide dogs Cork to train more guide dogs for blind people and more assistance dogs for families who have a child with Autism.

BALRATH WOOD
A Fun Day for all in Balrath Wood on 26 August, 2:30pm - 5:30pm. You will learn and be entertained with poetry, music, storytelling, woodland walk, bush craft, pop up ecology, pop up geology, children’s activities and much more. This is a community event with local music, storytelling poetry. It is a celebration of all the wood and the local people have to offer. Fun and learning are the aims of the
day and we will go all the way to guarantee that you enjoy your visit. Come along young and not so young, bring your dog on a lead and we will take it from there. Admission: Free Access & Parking: Suitable for Children under 12 Wheelchair Access (Full) Car Parking Available
