Google where you go as Drogheda mapped for Fleadh

WHEN hundreds of thousands of visitors flock to Drogheda for Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2018 no doubt they’ll also be looking to experience the shops, bars, restaurants, salons, music, services and history around the town, and Google Maps are helping out.

Denis McDonald from Google explained “At Google we think of Maps not just as a way to get from A to B, but as an assistant that helps everyone discover, experience, and connect with the world around them in ways that they love no matter where they are on the planet, and a major cultural event like Fleadh that brings together folks from around the world is perfect for that”.

The Google Maps team talked to local traders to get their details correct on the Map and remind them how they can keep their own business details up to date on Google. Denis added “Businesses themselves and members of the public can add and update local places on Google Maps, and we’re delighted to also help on this one-off special update to support Fleadh 2018 an amazing celebration of culture and in Drogheda a truly unique and historic town.’
