Walking tour of the town on Wednesday night

IN response to a number of requests from visitors coming to Drogheda for the Fleadh Cheoil, the tourist office will be hosting a Walk & Talk on Wednesday evening (August 15th) departing at 7.30 pm from Drogheda Tourist Office.

The walk will be led by Liam Reilly, who has been leading walking tours for 21 years. The Walk and Talk will give visitors an insight into the huge heritage of the town , the many famous characters who have shaped Drogheda’s history, some good , some bad, and reviel lots of interestin­g facts that may not be generally known for example Oldbridge House, now the Battle of the Boyne Visitor Centre, very nearly became the ancestral home of an American President or that two American states are named after people with close Drogheda connection­s.

The walk and talk starts at 7.30 pm and ends at around 9 pm at St Mary’s Bridge.
