FLEADH

Drogheda will be the centre of attention for the next ten days with the Fleadh starting this Sunday 12th August and continuing until Sunday 19th August. If you cannot get into Drogheda, then locally, The Lime Kiln will be hosting the Fleadh Barbecue and musicians and singers are welcome to come along and sing for their supper.

MEALS ON WHEELS

Meals-on-Wheels are looking for volunteer drivers to help with delivering meals to senior citizens in the Stamullen and Julianstow­n areas on Monday, Wednesday and Friday every week. If you are interested in helping, please contact MOW on 0867222068.

CITY NORTH FUN FAIR

The Annual Free Family Fair takes place on Sunday August 26th from 2-6pm!

There will be fun for all ages with Live Music, BBQ, Bouncy Castles, Face Painting, Rodeo Bull, Disco Dome, Dance Performers, Raffle and much more! All proceeds in aid of SOSAD Drogheda.

DULEEK LIBRARY ACTIVITIES

Paddington Workshop: Wednesday 15th August at 11.00am for ages 3 - 6 years old.

Lego Workshop: Thursday 16th August at 3p.m. for boys and girls aged over 7.

Summer Arts & Crafts: Monday 20th August at 11a.m. for the 3 - 6-year olds. Leave your name at the desk if you wish to attend. An adult must attend with the child.

Dogs Trust: How to be a Good Dog owner. Monday 27th August 11.00am. Ages 7 upwards. All events can be booked at the Library or ring 0419880709

HOSPICE COFFEE MORNING

East Meath Hospice associatio­n will be hosting National Coffee Morning to Hospice on Thursday 20th September.

Local venues for coffee mornings are Whyte’s Stamullen, Bellewstow­n Community Centre, The Lime Kiln Julianstow­n and a new venue this year is the Neptune Hotel in Bettystown. Please note all monies raised locally will be used locally.

HERITAGE DAY

Taking place in the Julianstow­n Village Garden on Sunday 26th August from 2 to 5 p.m. There will be a Creative Willow Workshop for Children and our local Historian Brendan Matthews will be on hand to tell us all the historical facts on the surroundin­g areas. There will also be light refreshmen­ts for all and we do hope that you will join us on this very special day. Free Admission and all welcome.
