Lisa Gregory hosting pub quiz for ASI Camino Adventure

-

A charity pub quiz will take place in McHugh’s pub in Drogheda later in the month to support a local lady who is set to trek across Spain to raise funds for the Drogheda branch of the Alzheimer’s Society of Ireland.

Lisa Gregory, who hails from College Rise in Drogheda, has returned home from Sydney, Australia ahead of the ASI Camino Adventure which takes place in Spain between September 8th and 15th. The event will see 25 walkers from across Ireland travel to the continent and raise funds for their own local branches and public awareness for people who live with dementia.

Ahead of her trip, Lisa – who describes the cause as ‘very close to her heart’ has organised a pub quiz to help raise funds for her trip. It takes place on Friday August 31st at 8pm, with teams of up to four people able to enter at a cost of €10 each.

There will be prizes and a raffle on the night too, so it’s well worth coming out to support the cause.

Lisa will trek 115km over five days, travelling from Sarria to Compostela in north west Spain. You can donate directly to Lisa’s fundraising campaign by visiting https://a-taste-of-thecamino-de-santiago-8th-to-15th-september. everydayhero.com/ie/charity-camino-trek.
