Carlito’s celebrating 21 years in business

-

DECLAN and Carmel of Carlitos Restaurant in Dunleer are delighted to be celebrating 21 years in business this week. The very popular local business opened its doors on 25th Aug 1997 and the couple haven’t looked back since with the popular signature dishes as well as the wide range of pastas and pizzas on offer attracting customers from far and wide.

Originally from Rathkenny in Slane, the couple have always had links to Dunleer as Carmel started her chefing career in the Grove Hotel aged just 15 so it was no surprise they decided to return to the busy Mid-Louth town after a stint in Germany, where Carol worked for the Stein Hotel group. The business has grown and expanded over the years with the opening of the takeaway in 2005. However despite the expansion some things haven’t changed, namely the quality and calibre of food on offer in the restaurant.

Testament to this is the fact that the restaurant’s signature dishes, brandy chicken, lime chicken and spicy pork, remains as popular as ever with customers 21 years on, not to mention the mouthwatering homemade desserts and the large selection of pizza and pasta dishes.

The restaurant also offers an outside catering service, providing food for a wide range of events from christenings to birthdays and everything inbetween.

It’s also worth noting that many of the restaurant staff have been with Declan and Carmel for many years and this is evident in the high level of service provided to everyone who dines at the restaurant.

Declan said “We are delighted to be celebrating 21 years in business and we want to thank the local community and local businesses for supporting us over the years. After over two decades we are proud to be still serving the people of Mid-Louth and beyond. Come and join us!
