MR. TOM KEALY

The death occurred of Mr. Tom Kealy, Grangegeeth on Friday 10th August in Beaufort Nursing home Navan. Tom who was in his 90th year was a family man who loved his family and would do anything for them.

He was an absolute gentleman and my wonderful uncle who has always been there for all of us. We thank you for all the great memories, love and support.

Tom loved his farm and through all his illness and recovery Tom would somehow make it down the yard to check on things. He was such a strong, determined man in all aspects of his life but with a lovely gentleness way about him.

Tom was a great GAA man having played with Rathkenny and the famous Newtown Blues team. He also loved the Meath team and was a great supporter.

Tom also won an All-Ireland medal and a bronze European medal for Tug of War.

The large numbers that attended Toms wake and funeral showed the huge respect in which him and his family are held. Following Toms funeral in St. Brigid’s Church Grangegeeth he was laid to rest in adjoining cemetery.

Tom was predeceased by his beloved wife May, brother John and sister May Maguire and also infant brother Gerard.

He is survived by his sons Tony, Noel and Gerry, daughters Geraldine and Sinead, grandchildren, daughters in law, son in law, nephew, nieces and extended family and friends. May his gentle soul rest in peace.
