Walk and Talk night

This week’s Old Drogheda Society Walk and Talk will be the last in the current series and it will take in South Quay/the Bull Ring/James St/Mary St/ Duleek Gate area and will be led by Liam Reilly starting at 7 pm from the statues at Scotch Hall at 7 pm.

Liam will speak on the businesses that disappeare­d with the Bull Ring, Pitcher Hill, The Castle of Comfort and Poynngs Law, St Mary’s Church, The seven pubs that disappeare­d in the name of progress, Characters of James Street, Old Cornmarket Hill, Currys Hill, The War Memorial, The Dove Stream, The Mollies, Cairnes Trust, The Mollies, Harry Martin, St Mary’s Church of Ireland, Clinton’s Lane, Priest Lane, Barber Callan’s Pub,The Hooley in Duleek Gate, Larry Walsh, Bernard Daly , Sampson’s Lane, Mount St Oliver, Joey Maher and Millmount Handball Alley, The Millmount Bar, The shooting of Liam Leech and much more.

There is no set charge for this Walk and Talk but small donations to the Old Drogheda Society will be accepted. All welcome . Pleas note earlier starting time of 7 pm. Parking available in Millmount.
