Third annual Boyne AC race on Sept 16

The third annual Boyne AC 5K (Connor/Mallon Memorial Cup) will take place on Sunday 16th of September. The race, which is in memory of two former members Wille Connor and Harry Mallon, is a flat paced accurately measured road race (AAI), ideal for elite runners or families alike.

Indeed, the club has introduced a 3km race this year too, so that the whole family can come along and join in.

The race starts at noon in the Donore Road Industrial Estate and makes it way past Knockbrack Close, and onto the Platin Road.

Centre exhibition

THE Droichead Centre hosts an exhibition exploring the many facets of contempora­ry print making; including but not limited to etching, lithograph­y, screen print, monoprint, digital (giclée pigment prints), photocopy etc. They are welcoming works that consider installati­on and three dimensiona­l possibilit­ies of print making.

Droichead Arts Centre invites profession­al artists currently living and working in the North East Region (Meath, Louth, Cavan, Monaghan) to submit up to six works for inclusion in this exhibition, which will be curated by independen­t artist/curator Dorothy Smith. Deadline for submission is: 14 September 2018 Exhibition Opens on 29 November 2018 in Droichead Arts Centre Gallery and will run until Saturday 2 March 2019.

The Yard, Droichead Print Studio: housed behind Barlow House, is available for use by profession­al artists working in the region.
