Clinton couple mark Golden Wedding day
ON WEDNESDAY NIGHT of last week in a house in Crushrod Avenue, Drogheda, there were festivities to mark the Golden Wedding of a Drogheda born couple.
The guests of honour were Mr. and Mrs. Richard Clinton, now residing in Collon, and who were married in St. Peter’s Church, Drogheda, in 1911, by Rev. Father Lavelle, C.C. The celebrations, which were held at the residence of their son, Mr. Richard Clinton, were attended by members of the family, relatives, friends and neighbours.
The couple, who formerly resided at Piperstown, have twenty-one grandchildren.
Throughout the anniversary day Mr. and Mrs. Clinton were recipients of many congratulations. They have four sons, Harry (Enfield), James (Hereford), Oliver (Birmingham), and Richard (Drogheda), and one daughter, Mrs. McCormack (Killineer).
