AUTUMN IN THE OFFING

It’s been a beautiful summer with gorgeous weather for weeks on end. Truly a year to remember weather wise. Now the schools are back in the next week and all the local clubs and organisati­ons will resume their activities. Good luck to all the boys and girls starting school and those entering secondary school for the first time.

SONAIRTE

You can now buy fresh vegetable boxes at the centre; boxes contain a mix of the organic, seasonal produce currently available from Sonairte’s garden. Just choose how much you want (€10, 15, 20, 30 etc.), contact us and your box will be waiting for you.

LOURDES PILGRIMAGE

The Meath Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes 2018 will take place from September 12th -17th and will be led by Bishop Smith. The fare is €749 for full board and inclusive of insurance and travel taxes (single supplement €180). To book, contact The Presbytery 041-9827384.

LAYTOWN RACES

Taking place on Thursday 6th September with first race at 3.30p.m. approx. After the very successful launch of the book “Laytown Strand Races” there should be a bumper attendance at the event.

HOSPICE COFFEE MORNING

East Meath Hospice associatio­n will be hosting National Coffee Morning to Hospice on Thursday 20th September. This National event is sponsored by Bewley’s, and all money raised will go provide services for people with a diagnosis of cancer Volunteer drivers provide door to door transport to Hospital appointmen­ts and comfort fund is available to provide equipment as needed. Local venues for coffee mornings are Whyte’s Stamullen, Bellewstow­n Community Centre, The Lime Kiln Julianstow­n and a new venue this year is the Neptune Hotel in Bettystown. Please note all monies raised locally will be used locally.
