LAYTOWN RACES

On Thursday, September 6th at 3.30pm, the one hundred and fiftieth anniversary of the Laytown races will kick off. It will mark an historic occasion. The meeting its self is unique in that its run over sand and it’s also under the rules of the turf club. Theentrance fee is 10 euro for adults and six euro for senior citizens and children are fr ee. Every facility will be available to all attendee’s.

This meeting will live long in one’s memory for all the positive reasons. Racegoers that have the experience of being there on the day will (when this particular anniversary is over) be waiting impatiently for the one hundredth and fifty first anniversary.

It’s not only locals that attend this meeting. There is an impressive sprinkling of Europeans, including ex-pats who will be in attendance. I’m sure that (like last year) there will be horses from other countries taking part as well, especially from the U.K,and there won’t be any Brexit borders either. I won’t say “have a nice day “as it will be simply impossible to not have a nice day.
