John Flanagan shows that he still has the gift

-

THE Premier Division of the NECL is proving a real dogfight this season with an eight game shoot out to decide who wins the title and who gets relegated before the move to the summer season next year.

While Newfoundwell are keen to retain their title, Boyne Harps are also well up for the fight, winning all their games so far.

They were helped greatly in their ambitions last Friday when Ardee Celtic took a richly deserved point from Muirhevnamor.

One of the stars of the gritty performance was John Flanagan, the former Drogheda and Dundalk ace.

No doubt. John would like to watch from the sidelines these days, but when pressed into action he showed he still has that old head. Nothing beats experience.
