Foroige and Ardee Trust to benefit by €350,000

The Internatio­nal Fund for Ireland (IFI) are committing a total of €507,105 to Louth community projectts.

Foroige Drogheda will receive €131,083 for the ‘ Turning Point’ project, a two-year initiative that will engage 15 young people aged 16-25 years, in a structured programme of good relations, personal developmen­t and skills developmen­t activities. Turning Point was developed following the successful completion of a Peace Impact Project which enabled young people to return to education.

€208,966 goes to Ardee and District Community Trust to extend and expand the ‘New Leaf ’ project for two years. The initiative, which spans Ardee and Mid-Louth, will support 11 current participan­ts to progress onto new levels of the project aimed at developing their career paths and life options. Meanwhile 10 new participan­ts will enrol at foundation level.
