Foroige and Ardee Trust to benefit by €350,000
The International Fund for Ireland (IFI) are committing a total of €507,105 to Louth community projectts.
Foroige Drogheda will receive €131,083 for the ‘ Turning Point’ project, a two-year initiative that will engage 15 young people aged 16-25 years, in a structured programme of good relations, personal development and skills development activities. Turning Point was developed following the successful completion of a Peace Impact Project which enabled young people to return to education.
€208,966 goes to Ardee and District Community Trust to extend and expand the ‘New Leaf ’ project for two years. The initiative, which spans Ardee and Mid-Louth, will support 11 current participants to progress onto new levels of the project aimed at developing their career paths and life options. Meanwhile 10 new participants will enrol at foundation level.
