THE Fianna Fáil Comhairle Cheantair will host a public meeting next Monday in the Westcourt Hotel to discuss immediate practical solutions to the traffic congestion in Drogheda caused by the necessity of heavy vehicles having to pass through the town on way to and from the port in particular and the damage done by such traffic to the street structure apart from the danger imposed on pedestrians and other road users.

An expanding population forces us to look at the existing infrastructure of the town and the necessity to plan appropriately for the future that also protects the environment and assists the people to enjoy their surrounds. There are solutions that can be put in place without delay. Your views would be welcome.
