The Fleadh it called...

-

The Fleadh it called on us Craic was had by all of us. Came and passed without a fuss Put a smile on every puss. The town rolled the carpet red All were watered and well fed. Visitors given a soft warm bed A place to rest a weary head. Dance and music filled the streets Young and old tapped merry beats. Shopkeepers laid out many seats Musicians gave us mighty treats. Jigs and reels we all did dance Caught us up in an ancient trance. Here and there a furtive glance Promising, maybe, a sweet romance. When you went we shed a tear Though you brought our town good cheer. We’ll watch the roads till you appear To welcome you back to us next year.
