Paul Smith was most vocal!

-

In poor conditions at Cavan on Easter Monday both teams tried hard to play good football but to no avail. Joey Connor and Paddy Murphy. gave Abbey a 2-0 lead but Cavan took control, in the second- half and within 15 minutes led 4-2, with Jim Hughes in defence battling hard.

In fact most of the Abbey attacks in the second half came from a frustrated Paul Smith on the sideline. In the end Cavan ran out easy winners to consolidate their position near the top of the division.
