Former manager returned for trial

A former manager of a local restaurant has been returned for trial to the circuit criminal court, accused of stealing more than €13,000 from his then employers.

Andrew Beaumont (38), Apartment 3, 84 West Street, Drogheda, is facing 30 charges relating to the alleged theft of €13,360 over a period, from July, 2017 to the following February at the Eastern Seaboard Bar & Grill, where he worked as manager.

A book of evidence was served on the defendant and he wawas returned for trial to Dundalk circuit criminal court on 2 OOctober next.

He was granted legal aid for one junior and one senior cocounsel.
