Pat Carey former FF minister...a great champion for Finglas How did you become interested in your career / hobby? Having worked for three major companies I decided at 26 to challenge myself as a self-employed entrepreneur Do you have an unfulfilled ambition? What is it?
To move to my dream home in Portugal where I intend to retire to...it’s coming but not too soon!
What book stands out in your mind and why? Nelson Mandela’s Walk to Freedom...a truly inspiring read.. never say never!
Have you a favourite song / poem / film- what is it and why?
The Sound of Music which i went to see three weeks in a row which cost 2 & 6 pence admission! Julie Andrews -what a woman!
What is your pet hate? Negative and lazy people What was your happiest moment? Two great moments really - the birth of both my children Laura and Lukas.... two super individuals
What was your saddest moment? Sadly the unexpected death of my mother Maggie...a great woman
What do you value most in people? Honesty
What are you most proud of ? The development of Integral Fitness & Leisure with a great bunch of people...now the leading leisure specialist in the North East.
Any big events coming up in your life? My very youthful 60th birthday and I’m going to have a blast!
What is your favourite thing about Drogheda? Drawdaa People who have been very good to me.. and as payback i hope to help this town to rise and reach its true potential... no more negativity!
