Aaron is the king of the mountains

LOCAL Cilles A.C athlete 15 year old Aaron Smith from Mornington represented Ireland in the under 17 British & Irish mountain running championship in Glendalough, Wicklow.

Aaron and the Irish team competed against teams from England, Wales, Scotland & N Ireland in a gruelling 4.7km run up Camaderry.

Colaiste na hinse student Aaron has spent many months training including weekly sessions in Glendalough & will now take a few weeks break before training begins for the Irish cross country season and the under 18 Mountain running world championships in Italy next year.
