Anthony Moore nominated to stand for Fianna Fail in 2019 local elections
THE Halpin Leech Whelan cumann of Fianna Fail has unanimously nominated local Fianna Fail activist and cumann chairman Anthony Moore to be its candidate in the 2019 local elections.
Speaking to the Drogheda Independent, Moore said “I am really honoured to have been nominated by my cumann to go forward for the local elections in 2019. I’ve been a member of it since my college days and I learned a lot back then from the late Jimmy Mulroy, who was a great inspiration to me and always had time to pass on friendly words of advice which I have no doubt will pay off in the year ahead.
“Our cumann is determined to restore the fortunes of Fianna Fail in Drogheda and ensure we add to our seats on the Council next year. We have a strong, committed membership and lots of good ideas to help our town thrive into the future and ensure it works for all its people.
‘We are looking forward now to getting out knocking doors and letting the citizens of our great town of Drogheda know what we can do for them.’
