Get set for Noel Carroll 10k in Annagassan

THE wonderfull­y scenic Annagassan 10k for 2018 takes place on November 17th at 11.00am in Annagassan.

The race winds its way through the village of Annagassan and Salterstow­n and passes the home of the great Noel Carroll and runs for up to 4km with the sea by your side.

This race is open to all types of athletes, from the Marathon finishers to the fun runners as everybody is welcome on the day. The local Togher Fit to Run group , or Togher Runners as they are known, will be running on the day as part of their couch to 10K programme. The first 500 entrants for 2018 will receive a special medal dedicated to the memory of Noel Carroll from Annagassan, on the 20th anniversar­y of his passing.

Noel ran for Ireland in the 1964 and 1968 Olympic Games, and he was also one of the first principal organisers of the Dublin City Marathon and one of the leading lights behind the first GOAL Mile fundraiser­s.
