Castlemart­in speeding fears are raised

SPEEDING cars along the green area in the Castlemart­in estate in Bettystown are proving a scourge for local residents.

They have contacted local councillor Sharon Tolan in a bid to get something done.

Addressing the local area meeting, she said it was a major issue for the estate.

‘Residents feel it is only a matter of time before somone is hurt here,’ she stated.

She said the estate was in the charge of the council and a speed survey was needed. needs to be looked at.

‘It is dangerous there. We need a raised table at the old school because cars are flying through here,’ he stated.
