New wall looks the part at Frank’s

-

IF you have passed by Frank’s Country Cottage in recent weeks you’ll have noticed an expert at work.

‘Charlie Haughey has done a great job!,’ mayor Godfrey declared, stating he is delighted with the new stone wall erected at the cottage by the Thomas Street man.

‘Charlie knows his stuff. great,’ the mayor added.

As for the stone mason, he says he’s 40 years in the trade and has worked on numerous projects.

‘We did the Dochas centre at Mountjoy and also a few high rise buildings,’ he stated.

He says he’s semi retired at this stage but still likes the odd challenge and working with stone.

‘It’s not easy as stone work is harder than brickwork,’ he remarked.

Frank is working away on adding to the cottage week by week and he gets visitors from all over the world. It looks
