Boyne Greenway gets boost

-

Cllr Wayne Harding has said the announcement that the Boyne Greenway will be the main driver in the application by Meath County Council to the recently announced Rural regeneration scheme is a pivotal moment in the counties history.

‘The thoughts of Trim being linked by cycle, walkway and the navigation system to the port town of Drogheda and on to Bettystown is quite simply mind boggling in its potential for the whole country. It is estimated that the connection between The Battle of the Boyne site between and Slane village will cost €7 million. There is already an application to Failte Ireland that has been very favorably received. This is a further boost,’ he stated.

‘As Cathoirleach of the Laytown/ Bettystown municipal district I was supported by my colleagues to head a delegation to Waterford . We will meet our counter parts in Waterford to discuss the benefits of the extraordinary success of the Greenway between Waterford city and Dungarvan.’
