LAYTOWN P&P

THE bi-annual Johnny Rooney Memorial competition was played in Laytown last Sunday week with the Ringcommons club and the winners were as follows:

36 nett Gareth McLoughlin, Janet Pope & Teresa Boland; 36 gross Oliver Healy, Gareth Rooney and Con Doherty; 18 nett Stephen Behan, Loua Hand and Ann Gilligan; 18 gross Christy Hammond, Mark Fay and Murial Tobin. Holein-one prize: Jack Gilligan.

The Rooney family were there to present the prizes.

MANNAN CASTLE

LAST weekend’s competition was a three-person team event, sponsored by www.doranmotors. ie based in Carrickmacross and Drogheda, and the result was as follows:

1st Michael Johnson, John P Clarke and Eamonn Sherry 88pts ocb; 2nd Dick Bourke, Brendan Morris and John Simpson 88pts; 3rd Kevin Coleman, Sean Harvey and John Hanratty 86pts.

Due to the high winds both the ladies and senior competitions were cancelled.
