ST. FECHINS LOTTO

There was no winner of the Lotto. The numbers drawn were 1, 2, 5 and 22. The winner of €100 was Maurice Rafferty. €20 winners were Robert Quaile, Neil and Tracy Martin, Deirdre Delaney, Deirdre Delaney and Michael Holcroft. MACRA NA FEIRME

The very best of luck to the two teams from Termonfeck­in Macra in the national final of the Question Time on September 29th in the Maldron Airport Hotel. It is a great achievemen­t to have two teams representi­ng the club in a national final. The next monthly meeting is in Sandpit Hall on Wednesday October 10th at 9pm. SET DANCING

Set Dancing continues on Thursday nights in Sandpit Hall at 8.30pm. There are classes for all standards and beginners are very welcome.

The Seapoint Senior Citizens Competitio­n 2018 was held on Wednesday September 12th. The results are as follows-1st: Frank Penders and Anne Fagan 44 , 2nd: Gerry Rock and Margaret McCabe 45. The Seapoint Gents Club Strokeplay took place on Sunday September 16th. Thanks to the sponsor, Madden’s Centra, Termonfeck­in. Senior-1st: Darren Fagan 95, 2nd: Pat Greene 98 (ob18 49). Inter-1st: William Finnegan Snr. 107, 2nd: Josh Murtagh 109 (ob18 54). Junior-Declan Brogan 109, 2nd: Paddy Davis 112 (ob18 53). CSS: 47. On Saturday September 15th, we had the final of our Club Doubles for 2018.

Our two captains, Joanne and Paul Cooney came out on top in a great match with Paddy Davis and Derek Mulryne. Upcoming fixtures in Seapoint: The Seapoint’s Masters, sponsored by David Carroll, Seapoint Golf Club, was held last Saturday 22nd. Results next week. Joanne and Paul Cooney will host their Captain’s Prize on Sunday October 7th.

ADORATION

Eucharisti­c Adoration takes place on Monday evenings from 7-8pm in the Church of the Immaculate Conception. Why not come and spend some quiet time in the presence of the Lord.

There will be a coffee morning in aid of The Drogheda Branch Of The Alzheimer Society in Duleek Courthouse, on Sunday 7th October at 9.00am - 12.30 pm. The Alzheimer Society of Ireland works across the country in the heart of local communitie­s providing dementia specific services and supports and advocating for the rights and needs of all people living with dementia and their carers. Our local Volunteer Noel Heeney is the current Chairperso­n of the Drogheda Branch. FERRARD DAY SAY THANK YOU.

Eugene & Ann Crilly recently celebrated their 40th Wedding Anniversar­y with a party in their home. When they invited their guests they asked them NOT to bring any presents as there would be a “Bucket” collection in aid of the Ferrard Day Centre. The latest craze at the All Weather Pitch in Clogherhea­d is to hire it out by the hour for your child and their friends to play football. It costs only €20 for 1 hour and after the hour you can continue the party there on the pitch or go to the Community Hall where they can run around having great fun in secure, friendly and safe surroundin­gs for only €30 per hour. And then they just flake out with tiredness, happy but tired.
