ST MARGARET’S CSC WAS FOUNDED 20 YEARS AGO

-

TWENTY years ago a small group of Celtic Supporters met to discuss forming a Celtic Supporters Club in the Duleek/Drogheda, area soon after with 3 season books and a loan of £200, the first coach was organised to Celtic Park by club chairman and founding member Adrian Hillman.

Since those early days the club has gone from strength to strength and now boasts 105 season book holders based not only in Louth & Meath but throughout Ireland & Glasgow.

To celebrate the 20th anniversary, members past and present will come to together for a weekend of events at City North Hotel in aid of the Gary Kelly Cancer Centre.

The supporters club is delighted to announce John Hartson & Alan Thompson will be their special guests on Friday 12th Oct. for One Night In Anfield when both players stunned the Kop with a goal apiece to send Liverpool tumbling out of the Uefa Cup.

Saturday 13th Oct Drogheda based Celtic fan and editor of More than 90 Minutes which recently celebrated its 100th edition Andrew Milne will bring his Celtic AM show which he hosts before Celtic games in Glasgow and annually in Dublin and Philadelphia. He is looking forward to hosting it locally for the first time and chatting to 5 former Celtic players John and Tommo will be joining their former team mate Bobby Petta, Centenary season hero Frank McAvennie and Lisbon Lion, John Fallon for a lunch time special.

The weekend will finish off with a Gala Charity Dinner on Saturday evening when 360 Celtic fans will join the 5 special guests and Leeds and Ireland’s Gary Kelly to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of St. Margaret’s CSC.

The Committee look forward to welcoming everybody over the weekend.
