‘Daniel O’Donnell always supported me in my music’
Where did you grow up? I grew up in Drogheda
An event or memory that stands out from your childhood? My first performance with my good friend Daniel O’ Donnell.
Who has had an influence on your life?
I was always influenced by the greats such as Dolly Parton.
How did you become interested in your career / hobby?
As far back as I can remember I have always loved music and performing.
Do you have an unfulfilled ambition?
What is it? My dream would be to make it to Nashville. While I’m there, I would love to go to Dollywood and the Grand ole Opry House. Another ambition of mine would be to have my own band on the road.
What book stands out in your mind and why?
Honestly, I never have time to read as I always too busy working on my music.
Have you a favourite song / poem / film- what is it and why?
Well, in my job you can’t have favourite songs! I like to listen to all different genres of music, obviously country would be the main one, but I love an oldie from the 50’s to current pop - can’t beat it when you’re in the gym staying motivated!
What is your pet hate?
I would have to say disorganisation and untidiness.
What was your happiest moment?
Definitely performing with Daniel O’Donnell, he truly is inspirational and always supported me on my musical path. We still stay in contact and meet at shows.
What do you value most in people?
I think it’s important to build trust with people around you and have good friends to support you
What are you most proud of ?
I’ve had some amazing experiences in my years of music, but if I had to pick one if would be when I performed on the Cruise of Irish Stars in the Caribbean
Any big events coming up in your life?
I’m looking forward to celebrating my 21st birthday in November.
