TOWNLEY HALL GOLF CLUB
The winners of the monthly medal played 22nd/23rd September are as follows:
1st Derek O’Brien with 65 strokes, 2nd was Jim Faulkner with 72 strokes and 3rd went to Micheal Hackett with 73 strokes.
PARISH NEWS
First Friday of the Month is Friday 5th of October. Sick and the Housebound will be visited. Adoration will be at 7pm followed by Mass at 7.30pm for the List of the Dead. All are welcome.
Mellifont (Tullyallen) Parish choir currently seeks new members to assist with Sunday celebrations and solemn occasions throughout the year. If you feel that you could contribute your gift and time to the choir then you are most welcome. If you are interested contact Maura Callan our Parish Music/Choir director on (041) 9826807 or feel free to speak to Maura after Mass on Sundays when the choir is singing.
ROSSIN ROVERS TABLE QUIZ
Rossin Rovers would like to thank everyone who attended their table quiz in dolly Mitchell’s in aid of “Odie wants to walk” the funds raised on the night was €1,445.40.
CALLING ALL TESCO SHOPPERS
Tesco Extra on Matthews Lane and Tesco West Street have very kindly allowed The Tullyallen Link to be part of their Community Fund Initiative. For all Blue tokens placed in the drums located at both stores over the next few weeks, Tesco will make a donation to the funding for the Glen project. This will be used to complete landscaping and add some other finishing touches to the walkway. They have called it Tullyallen Across the Glen so the organizers would really appreciate it if all local (and not so local!) Tesco shoppers place their tokens in this drum. Remember, Every little helps. A huge Thank You to local man John Byrne for his assistance with this. It is looking like the works will soon commence by Coillte and that the project will be concluded successfully in the very near future.
WEDNESDAY BINGO
The Morning Star are running bingo every Wednesday night in the lounge. Events kick off at 9pm, so why not pop along and see if you can win a few euro.
SUPPORT THE GLEN EMMETS LADIES

SLIMMING WORLD TIMES
Tullyallen Slimming World classes are on every Thursday. The first class is 5pm and the second is 7pm. Amanda will be there giving plenty of inspiration, motivation and encouragement to everyone who comes along.
LOTTO RESULTS
Results for the Glen Emmets Lotto held Tuesday 25th September 2018. The Grand Prize Draw was for €2,600 and there was no winner. The numbers drawn were: 3,7, 15 & 24.
