WHIST DRIVES

The whist drives are back and still as popular as ever. Results for 17th Sept. were top score Dick Walsh; Top Lady was Joan Caffrey; Top Gents was Anthony Nulty. The first half winner was Leo Weldon and the second half winner was Annmarie McCloskey. Results for 24th September were Top Score Marian Leonard; top gent was Dick Walsh; Top lady was Maureen Thornton. The first half winner was Kathleen Dunican and the second half winner was Ethel Nulty. The group would like to extend sincere sympathy to Kathleen Andrews and her family on the sudden and unexpected death of her beloved husband Johnny. May he rest in peace.

CLOGHERTOW­N FUNDRAISER

The first fundraiser in four years for Cloghertow­n United will take place in the City North Hotel in Gormanston on Saturday 27th October. “The Kube” promises to be a great night and there are still spaces for contestant­s. Your support will be much appreciate­d.
